The first mad ravings of an idea

For a while I've fancied the idea of taking a week and going on a cycling/camping trek and the commonly known route is of course Land's End to John O'Groats. The idea has been lurking at the back of my head for a while. This year I decided to pull my finger out and do something about it. It didnt take much research to realise just how big a task that Land's End to John O'Groats would be given my level of fitness and the few hours spent in the saddle. After some initial weekends cycling it was obvious that I wouldnt be able to cover a distance as great as 838 miles (according to google maps) in just 1 week and thats taking the direct motorway route. This called for a serious rethink.
